If this were a tweet, I wouldn't have to title it

This should be a tweet, but screw that.

This is me feeling good about the following things:

........(1) I have gone to the gym twice in two consecutive days.

........(2) I was on the treadmill for over an hour each time.

........(3) I have read a chapter of Team of Rivals each time.

........(4) Lincoln kept a messy office. I feel so validated by that simple fact.

The advantage of using twitter for shtuff like this is, you don't have to think of a post title. Tweets are title-less.

Suddenly, I see the allure.

I've been dying to read "Team of Rivals." Doris Kerns, right? How are you liking it so far?

Doris Kearns Goodwin, yes. It's excellent, deserves every bit of its acclaim. Makes the world I currently occupy seem illiterate and lazy. Makes me want to sit down under a tree at the end of a corn row and read. Just read and read and read. Makes me realize that, if these guys (Bates and Chase and Seward and Lincoln) could aspire to be president, I can at the very least, get myself to the gym. In short, the book has inspired me. Just the kick in the pants I was needing (but didn't know it).

This sounds like a great book, will have to make note of it.

Good for you for getting to the gym! I always know I feel better when I've done it.

I thought about titling each of my posts in sequential order. Less fuss.
